Blue sky, pale orange sand, sea breeze… I doubt anyone will dislike such a relaxing holiday scenario.
Little girls don’t stay little forever. Transitioning from a child to a teen, one will start to have their own thoughts, needs and wants. Julka, our main character today, wishes to redecorate her room to her own likings as the current room design is picked and done by her mum. At the same time, through this challenge she hopes to prove to her mum that she can be independent and trustworthy.
Julka starts her room grooming journey by meeting the interior designer to discuss the room design. She is hoping to have a room with her dream holiday feel and look. With the design decided, and a budget of $1500 in her pocket, she is all ready to do the shopping.
During the bed shopping trip, Julka was having second thoughts about the type of bed to get, but with the interior designer’s thoughtful clarification over the phone, she sticks to the plan. After which, it is to pick a study table. Luckily, the host, Charmian, was around to help with the selection, as Julka almost forgot about the budget. Julka also bought a discounted bean bag and some self decorating items.
With the help from room groomers, they cleared out the room so the painters could move in to paint the blue waves. Not forgetting the wall muralist who helped to create the sky and clouds on the ceiling! Julka utilised both lifelines, to create coloured sands for her seashells in glass bottles and beach inspired photo frames to add more feel to her room.
Finally, 48 hours had passed, and Julka had her room groomed!

Having her mum to like and approve her room design, Julka felt really happy and good about herself. And yes, her mum does feel that she is no longer a little girl and is growing up, independent and definitely trustworthy!
