Tales of the Forest
Below is part of a series of kids room makeovers that Kids Haven has done in partnership with Groom my Room. It showcases kids taking charge of their own stories and their own rooms, within a budget and a timeline, with the help of a lively host, professionals, and their own family and friends. Have you ever wish that you can recreate your bed time story, Meet Hana, an imaginative girl who wants to mix and match fables and fairy tales to create new memories in her new room. Hana wishes to revamp the room as the room was used by her grandma when she was ill, which makes Hana feels sad whenever she is in the room.
Through Charmian, Hana met Carmen, the Interior Designer. After a fun discussion, Carmen came up with a plan for the room. With Hana nodding her head, Charmian gave Hana the Groom My Room T-shirt, fun phone and had the budget credited. Then off they went for the shopping trip!
At Kids Haven, Hana purchased a bunk bed and wardrobe. As the items exceeded the budget, Hana and Charmina participated in an event and got herself some discount! Followed by a trip to get some DIY materials.
Right after the purchasing trips, Hana headed home and got help from the Room Groomers to clean up the room and move everything out. Once the room had been cleared out, Hana proceeded to the Room Groomers along her first lifeline to paint the walls. Hana then went to work on the first DIY project, in the midst of it, the furniture arrived, therefore, Hana had to leave the remaining work to Charmian and went to help with getting the furniture set up. Hana also communicated with the wall muralist on what she wants for her wall mural.
While trying to finish up the remaining work in the room, Charmian then reminded Hana about her second DIY! Hana then got her second lifeline to work on the project. Before Hana left to work on her DIY, she asked Carmen to take the lead to make sure everything is according to plan.
Finally! It is time for the reveal!
From sad and solemn to skippy and sparkly. The Tale of Forest has came alive!
