At Kids Haven, we are proud to be known for our high-quality children’s furniture. However, our commitment goes far beyond just offering exceptional products. We are passionate about creating nurturing, safe spaces that empower children and help them unlock their full potential. Above all, we believe that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive.

In line with this vision, we are proud to partner with Children’s Wishing Well (CWW), a leading charity established in 2002. CWW supports children from low-income families by offering free educational programmes and life skills training. With two full-service centres, eight community sites, and collaborations with other charitable organizations, CWW reaches over 1,000 children annually, helping them break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future.

 

CWW relies entirely on donations from private organizations and the public to fund its programmes. Their goal is to provide comprehensive support—academic assistance, life skills training, and enrichment opportunities—designed to help children overcome socio-economic barriers and reach their full potential.

A key initiative of CWW is the Children’s Enrichment Programme (CEP), which helps disadvantaged children and youth realize their aspirations through holistic education and development. The programme addresses various needs, from basic necessities such as food and daily essentials to academic support, life skills development (e.g., public speaking, baking), and non-academic training (e.g., sports, arts). Additionally, the CEP offers psychosocial support, including counseling sessions when needed, and a structured curriculum delivered by former MOE-school teachers and trained tutors.  

 

 As part of our commitment to social responsibility, we’ve partnered with CWW to raise funds that will directly benefit over 1,000 children annually. Your support can make a meaningful difference: a donation of $350 provides one child with a month of enrichment activities, while $1,000 can support three children for a month. These contributions will empower children with the resources they need to succeed academically and beyond.

How Are Beneficiaries Selected?

Children’s Wishing Well supports children and youth from low-income families who are eligible for various Financial Assistance Schemes (FAS), including:

  • MOE FAS (Ministry of Education Financial Assistance Scheme)
  • School FAS
  • Social Service Office FAS (ComCare)
  • Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS)

To qualify for these programmes, families must meet specific financial criteria, which include:

  • A gross household income of S$3,000 or less per month, or
  • A per capita income of S$750 or less for larger families.

Children are referred to CWW through several channels, including:

  • Partnerships with local schools, which refer students eligible for MOE FAS to CWW
  • Collaboration with social service agencies and Family Service Centres, which refer families to CWW for enrolment
  • Word-of-mouth referrals from existing students and families within the community
